Recently had a car accident requiring shoulder surgery, looks like I will have to  be playing smaller body guitars from now on. This guitar is as loud as cannon and the tone-intonation-action is spot on. The neck plays like butter and the guitar is aesthetically beautiful to look at to. I have an excellent selling history on Ebay and Reverb.com. Purchased from Sweetwater, description and Taylor Web address below.Thank you for considering my guitar, it is one of the nicest that I have owned over the past 40 years! This gorgeous acoustic-electric guitar combines premium tonewoods with masterful design and craftsmanship for a stunning instrument that's a joy to play. The 816ce features a solid Sitka spruce top, Indian rosewood back and sides, a tropical American mahogany neck, and an ebony fretboard for amazingly rich tone and great looks. The cutaway Grand Symphony body style makes this instrument very comfortable to play, while Taylor's combination of woods, construction, and Expression System 2 electronics make this 816ce bloom with tone, onstage or off.Taylor 816ce Acoustic-electric Guitar at a Glance:A classic tonewoods combination - Sitka spruce and Indian rosewood Grand Symphony body style gives you balanced sound and incredible projection Cutting-edge Taylor Expression System 2 electronics deliver superior amplified soundA classic tonewoods combination - Sitka spruce and Indian rosewoodNothing beats the sound of real rosewood topped with spruce - and that's exactly what you get with the Taylor 816ce. It features a beautiful Sitka spruce top, which gives you wonderful projection and the perfect amount of sparkle. Add to that the balanced tone and astonishing projection of the 816ce's Indian rosewood back and sides, and you have a guitar with timeless tone.Grand Symphony body style gives you balanced sound and incredible projectionTaylor's Grand Symphony body style, featured on the 816ce, is a more modern take on the sleek Grand Auditorium shape, but with the waist moved up toward the neck. This gives the guitar a slightly larger lower bout, and gives you an excellent blend of power and projection, without losing the high-end definition that's a hallmark of the Grand Auditorium body style. Cutting-edge Taylor Expression System 2 electronics deliver superior amplified soundIf you play plugged in, then you're going to love the Taylor Expression System 2 (ES2) electronics built into your 816ce. The key to this fantastic system is the 3-section proprietary pickup located behind the saddle. Because of where it's positioned and how it's integrated into the 816ce's saddle, the ES2 pickup provides you with remarkably clear and accurate sound. In addition to a master volume control, a pair of tone controls let you tweak your highs and lows to get the sound you need, and a discreet phase switch offers vital onboard feedback suppression.Taylor 816ce Acoustic-electric Guitar Features:A beautiful acoustic-electric guitar with a timeless voice Great for a wide range of musical styles Grand Symphony body style gives you a balanced tone with extra punch and exceptional projection Sitka spruce top provides a light and expressive sound Indian rosewood back and sides gives you a rich, vibrant sound with exceptional projection Onboard Taylor Expression System 2 electronics deliver natural sound onstage and in the studio Hardshell case included
