Item Details The Gretsch Falcon was the only guitar competing with the Gibson Super 400 in 1955. Originally conceived by a marketing strategist at Gretsch who gained inspiration by touring the production factory, it features many of the distinctive appointments of the finest instruments in Gretsch's line up at the time. Obviously the white finish is the big eye catcher and that is made only more sophisticated by the gold sparkle binding and oversized bound F holes. The 3 piece maple neck houses the ebony fretboard which is adorned with Neo-Classic thumbnail fret markers. The Dual High Sensitive Filter Tron pickups sound incredible and the gold plexi pickguard and Bigsby Vibrato Tailpiece really set the guitar off.
