This 1966 Mosrite double 6-12 has been a real crowd pleasure in my shop but it's time to put it out there for sale. You see these guitars in the $5000 range all the time even though they are somewhat rare. Most of them seem like they were barely played but this one has been played its entire life. It has seen innumerable smoky bars and honky tonks and it shows. Lots of honest player wear and lots of dings and scrapes and scratches but it still plays great-especially (and surprisingly) the 12 string neck. The pick guard screws aren't original. The 3 way on the 12 string neck has been replaced as has the neck pickup. I have the original pickup (which has been re-wound) and the original 3 way. Weighs a little over 11 lbs which isn't light but it's light for a double neck. Case is fairly new hard shell. This guitar is great fun and a surf machine. Pix are a little dark-guitar is a bit lighter than it looks in the photos.
