Peach Custom Electric Guitar - Handmade - Neck-thru Walnut & Ebony Introducing the first SR1 electric guitar from Peach Custom Instruments. This guitar is incredibly unique and wonderful, and sports a seemingly endless range of tonal possibilities. It was hand-crafted in Colorado, like all Peach Custom Instruments products, and will catch the eyes and ears of players and audiences alike. The SR1 brings a whole new wiring system with it. It gives you tonal options for any situation with its new design. It has 3 hand-wound PeachBucker pickups, each with its own individual coil split switch, and its own push/pull Volume/Tone control. On top of that there is a Black Ice passive overdrive circuit added in. This means that you can hook the guitar straight up to any amp on a clean setting, and with no batteries, no pedals, and no amp distortion, and toss in some drive right from your guitar. You can also use a separate source of overdrive, and even toss the Black Ice in as an extra punch. You might think that this guitar would be noisy with all of those electronics, but it's dead quiet! It has less hum than almost any guitar, even when it's in a building that has bad wiring/grounding! The design and construction keeps it quiet while still letting all the tonal possibilities fly. That doesn't mean it's quiet in a bad way though! This thing can take any gig, from small, to huge and loud while still cranking out great tone! How 'bout that tone! On top of its eye-catching looks and great playing, this thing sounds great! There are so many different wonderful sounds, from a lot of mid-range punch, to a country twang, to a bluesy crunch, to a smooth high output shred sound, with muddyness here, and clarity there. Not only can you squeeze about any tone out of this guitar, but each and every sound it has is great! This guitar not only looks and sounds great, but also plays fast and smooth! Its neck is hand-shaped to a very soft D profile, and is a little bit thicker than many modern guitars. It is light weight (appx 5 1/2 pounds) and is very well balanced. Being neck-thru construction, everything is very low to the body, giving it a sleek look and a lower position in which you can play.
