We are not used to having Les Paul's in the shop and when we do it is a hot/cold experience. That is until this Faded 50's showed up. This guitar was was part of a trade deal and came to us virtually untouched. The faded finish is beautiful, textured and subtle, and the chambered body releases deep resonance while going light on your shoulder. The 50's neck profile measures approximately .840" at the first fret and .955" at the 12th, with a smooth satin finish that feels silky even on a hot summer jam night. The Classic '57 pickups have a great balance of output and clarity, making them ideal for blues, rock, country and anything in between. As with many Les Pauls, the coolest tones come when blending both pickups, and if you think you can't get spanky tones with this type of guitar, think again. With full binding on the body and neck, this Les Paul is dressed to impress and ready to play.Very few of the 2016 Faded Les Paul Standard's were made, and to us they are a great example of the breed with a perfect balance of gravitas and clarity.
