This is an ultra-rare example of a vintage "The Gibson A-2" mandolin with an original hard shell case & paperwork(see pics)! Hand built in Kalamazoo, Mi. U.S.A., circa 1920's! Sounds & looks beautiful! The serial number is written in pencil & appears to read: #69650, which I believe makes it a 1922 model, during the favorable "Lloyd Loar period"(But, please see pics & do your research)? This mandoiln is the more modern version of the vintage A-2 series, which includes an adjustable bridge & neck adjusting truss rod. For an instrument almost a century old, it shows VERY minimal signs wear & "may" have been professionally refinished (I've highlighted what I believe to be the worst area of finish wear in pic, near sound hole). It will need new strings, one string is broken. Ask any questions & review pics thoroughly before bidding because, will be sold AS-IS! Buyer pays for any additionally requested professional pkg. & additional elected insurance! Free S&H offer is to lower 48 states USA ONLY!!
