This 1985 Fender Thinline is from Fender Japan's golden age of guitar crafting. This particular model is somewhat rare to come by.This guitar is ALL original inside out (first models have the "Gotoh" tuners) with minimal playtime... it's really clean for a 30 year old guitar.Neck is comfortable (I won't describe it since it's so subjective), guitar is medium weight (mahogany body) but really well balanced and strings (11's right now) sing with never-ending sustain... Really nice tone plugged and really vibrant and resonant unplugged.Pick guard looks like it's been reshaped near the top of the bridge, so the extra hole you see by the bridge is where a pick guard screw would be. Compatible pick guards are easily available on the bay. Last owner probably cracked the thin pick guard when removing the guard and decided to reshape it. Mod looks like a factory job.This is a gem of a guitar.
