- MM3 - USED - Excellent Condition ... Co-Designed by Guitarist Mike Tempestra (White Zombie, Powerman 5000) and Schecter Guitars. Tempestra's MM3 signature appears on the Back of the Headstock (see pic). The Color is a metalic gray that is well seen in the 1st photo (the other pics seem a little to dark). It's a fantastic guitar and in REALLY good shape! Solid Mahogany with a set at a 25-1/2" scale and a medium "C" profile. The action is LOW and doesn't buzz, Neck is straight and true and the truss rod works fine. The BACK of the neck has been sanded with 800 grit to break up the sticky gloss finish and it's super fast. When I got the Guitar someone had removed the original pickups, probably after they screwed up an attempt to replace the nut. I installed an Earvana Compensated Nut (see Pic) and tried several Pickup Combos before settling on a HOT Schecter Logo (15K) in the Bridge and a much mellower Dean Logo (8.3K) in the Neck Spot ... This proved to be a GREAT combo. The HOT Bridge Pickup provides HEAVY METAL / HARD ROCK with Strong Overtones for Chords and Blistering / Edgy Leads for Solos. The Neck Pickup handles Blues, Pop, and (YES!) FUNK (I wired the center switch position Out Of Phase!) ... Perfectly! When I took the pics, the Truss Rod Cover was missing, it is included and will be installed before I ship the guitar. There are VERY FEW imperfections, a couple of TINY paint chips on the edges, like the one you can see in the pic of the backside of the headstock, a little pick swirling on the pickguard. There's a Schecter sticker still on the Rear Cavity Cover. No Buckle Rash, Cracks, Bashs, or any sort of Serious Damage. There is NO FRETWEAR, you can barely see where the strings have started to burnish the frets. I'd rate it a 98-99 on a scale of 100. I like the Schecter Ultra series a LOT, but I really want a 3 Pickup Vintage style. So here's your chance! These MM3s are getting SCARCE! Original retail was around $1,000 ... Get it NOW ...
