PRS Paul Reed Smith S2 Vela Seafoam Green Guitar - Only Weighs 5.6 lbs. This is the PRS Paul Reed Smith S2 Vela Seafoam Green Guitar. This guitar only weighs 5.6 lbs. The S2 line is made in the USA at the Maryland Factory. S2 stands for Stevensville 2 which is the town in Maryland in which these guitars are manufactured. PRS playability and craftsmanship is expected in any guitar that bears the name and the Vela is no different. The S2 Vela is perfect for players who want PRS build quality and reliability with a fresh aesthetic. The Vela is the first PRS to have an offset body shape. It is both elegant and edgy. Loaded with a PRS-designed Starla humbucker in the bridge and the newly designed PRS Type-D single coil in the neck, the Vela has a bright, punchy tone that sounds great plugged into your pedalboard or straight into an amp. A coil-tap on the tone control allows the Starla pickup to split into singlecoils and explore a whole new range of tones. The newly designed plate-style bridge holds two brass saddles specifically designed for great sustain and perfect intonation so both rhythm and lead tones sound great no matter where you are on the fretboard. This PRS S2 Vela has a seafoam green finish with a mahogany body & neck in an offset design, which is a first for PRS. It looks amazing. The mahogany neck has a Pattern Regular profile, a rosewood fretboard, dot inlays, a 25" scale length, and the same fret wire that's used on all of the PRS Core line of guitars.
