The XR1220's traditional layout is easy to operate for hours on end. Despite being fully laden with Pro-proven features and a massive 1200 watts of Class D output power, the 20 channel XR1220 is remarkably compact and weighs in at under 12kgs!The Peavey XR1220 has 20 XLR microphone preamp channels along with stereo line-level inputs on the last two channels giving you enough input channels to handle a full sized band or school theatre performance. On-the-fly adjustments are made easy with dual monitor sends and an effects send with built-in effects - all with their own dedicated faders.
Each of the XR1220's mono channels (channels 1-18) feature 4-band EQ with Peavey's Mid-morph function. EQing the midrange is the bane of many live engineers, which is what makes Mid-morph an incredibly useful function. Instead of cutting or boosting one frequency range, Mid-morph does both, adjusting the ratio of the high mids to the low mids. Turn it clockwise (up) and vocals become much more intelligible; turn it counterclockwise (down) and you instantly tame the harshness from overheads, amps and brass.A pair of 9-Band Graphic Equalisers are on hand to tame difficult rooms. As well as making manual adjustments, by plugging in an RTA (real time audio analyzing reference microphone), you can instantly tune each amplifier to accommodate for the frequency response of the room. Feedback drives FOH Engineers, Artists and Audiences crazy but with Peavey's Feedback Ferret technology troublesome audio environments are quickly brought under control. For added versatility, Peavey have included five different power amp modes (including a fully active subwoofer crossover) to allow you to set up your system to best suit your audio environment.
