Beautiful Tranquility Blue burst finish on a beautiful carved flame maple top with creme pickguard, binding and chrome hardware. The guitar has a very nice action and the '60s slim taper mahogany neck with rosewood fretboard and 120th Anniversary logo inlay has a great feel. The frets are in excellent condition.The covered '61 pickups are a classic reborn. 1961 was when Gibson started using alnico V magnets and with this version the screw side coil of each pickup has more windings to somewhat equalize the greater output of the solid slug coil. This gives these pickups a unique tone. They have an increased output toward the higher frequencies which is translates into clarity. These pickups sound good using a clean, overdriven or high gain tone. The guitar's electronics keep the pickups tone intact by using quality pots and "orange drop" capacitors. The hardware is straight out of the 60's. The stop tailpiece is engrave with "Peace" in Bell Bottom font and the stoptail studs are engraved peace signs. Each of the speed knobs also has a peace sign on the top. The guitar is equipped with the Min-ETune system. This keeps you in tune and lets you use go from standard tuning to alternate tunings with ease. This is a really nice looking, versatile sounding, great playing Les Paul --- Groovy. Includes the original Gibson hemp covered hard shell case with peace symbol and tie-dye interior and the charger. Made in the USA - Peace. 2014 Gibson Les Paul "Peace" Electric Guitar in excellent condition. Beautiful Tranquility Blue burst finish on a beautiful carved flame maple top with creme pickguard, binding and chrome hardware. The guitar has a very nice action and the '60s slim taper mahogany neck with rosewood fretboard and 120th Anniversary logo inlay has a great feel.
