I'm in the process of downsizing my extensive collection of vintage audio and professional recording gear.I'm offering a Neumann u87ai microphone with accessories, serial number 85666. The Neumann U87ai is the defacto standard for vocal and instrumental recording worldwide. If you're looking at this listing, you know what the U87 is about.Microphone is in absolute mint condition, with no dents, scratches or other defects. It has been treated with loving, almost reverential care, in the years I've owned it. It has been used exclusively for orchestral, band and instrumental recording. This means there are absolutely no issues with the cleanliness, particle build-up or any sanitary issues with either the screen or capsule which would result from vocal use.Includes wood case, shock mount, foam screen and as an added bonus, an adaptor for hanging the mic in auditoriums (never used). The shock mount will probably benefit from a replacement of the elastic band in a few years. By make this purchase, you can save almost $1,000 over the cost of a new microphone set.I pride myself on my bullet-proof packaging (please see my feedback). Also, I will not rip you off with shipping costs. You pay the actual amount using the FedEx calculator at checkout. I will cover the insurance.
