Here is a VERY cool early 60's National 1133 Reso-Phonic Resonator guitar. I got this for around the house playing and it has been amazing. I was going to get a hot-plate installed, but I'm just going to get a full-sized National. The 1133 was a student model produced by National/Valco/SUpro from 1956-64. They had various color drum-shell coverings- white, red and green. The first versions had "National" on the peghead and a National bade on the bass side of the front, on the pickguard. Later models, like this, have no National bade or logo. It has a very simple set-up with the two neck screws- 1 for angle and one to attach the neck. I have this one set up to where I can play higher up the neck and yet still get a good slide action going. It even has some banjo-like quality to the sound sometimes, especially if you use fingerpicks. It is all original, with a very clean original case. I lost one of the chrome screw cover plugs, but it's not a big deal. I prefer it this way so I can alter the neck angle more easily. I added a photo of the late, great Chris Whitley, who used this model as well. These are great for recording and playing in the living room, and easy for travel as well. They're pretty loud, especially if you're right in front of it! It projects very well.
