Vintage Shure SM-5B pro broadcast dynamic cardioid microphone
Estimated price for orientation: 700 $
Category: Microphones and Wireless Systems
Class:
Description Brand: Shure Microphone Form Factor: Handheld/Stand-Held Type: Dynamic Microphone Pickup Pattern: Cardioid Model: SM5B Wireless Technology: Not Applicable MPN: Does Not Apply Country/Region of Manufacture: United States Connectivity: Wired XLR UPC: Does not apply
USA-made SM-5B, Patent-pending era. Mic is attached to yoke, with XLR male connector. Serial no. 42**. An engineer serviced this mic last several years ago, I believe replacing the elastic suspension pieces.
We tested this microphone June 2016 with male and female voices and two different preamps. Of course, it sounded great! No mic distortion.
The foam blast screens are in rough shape, pretty much ready to crumble. One is sort of stuffed against the mic frame; the other olive green piece is tattered and loose. I can ship that piece with the mic if you want, but chances are you'll receive a pile of rotted foam pieces on your end. I'm told you can buy replacement screens for around $45-85.
Please note this is old electronics, as such sold as-is due to its nature. Buyer prepays and pays shipping. International buyers please refer to the shipping calculator.
Return policy available! Thanks for looking!
