It is tuned 1 octave and a fifth below the mandolin, and 1 octave below the mandola, or what is often referred to as the alto mandola. This is the Luthier model mandocello. Fine selected solid spruce top inlaid at edges and soundhole with fine wood mosaic inlays. Inlaid escutchion, flat rosewood back, rosewood sides, rosewood bridge and carved sleeve guard. Mahogany neck, Ebony fingerboard. 574mm (22.6") string length. The old price, when these were imported about 8 years ago, was $1,795.
