Description
Exact Year: 1978 Brand: Greco

Body: Alder Neck: One-piece Maple neck with 12” radius, medium C profile and vintage-sized frets. Pickups/Hardware: Original Greco hardware. Kluson style tuners, steel trem, bone nut, Greco Excel pickups and original electronics. Cosmetic Condition: This '78 SE-800 has the unmistakable look of a real vintage guitar. It has lots of playwear, and a lot of mojo. Two-tone nitrocellulose finish. There is some nice checking to the body finish and the thin finish have worn through on the neck. Someone obviously loved this guitar, yet somehow the original tags have survived in the gig-bag for almost 40 years. Playability: The guitar has reasonably low fret wear and plays great, with low string action and no string buzzing. The guitar still performs very well, and sounds phenomenal if you dig vintage tone. Modifications/Repairs: Missing pickup cover in bridge position, otherwise original. History: The SE-800 was the top standard production model in Greco’s range. From 1978 and on they got more vintage correct
