1988 Fender Stratocaster  OWNED & USED BY YNGWIE MALMSTEEN This is a cool way to get into having one of the most famous guitars from Yngwie’s collection. It has a yellowed Olympic White finish w/a scalloped Maple neck as usual. He liked everything about it other than the new type truss rod adjustment on all othe Strat's. This is a "Prototype" made for Yngwie by Fender employee John Cruz & the Custom Shop Team as an example of what Yngwie expected his Signature model to become. It was one of the very 1st w/a "Large" 70's type headstock but Fender was not tooled up & able to make a "Bullet" type truss rod as Yngwie wanted & as appeared on later models once Fender was ready to manufacture them.  It is also equipped with a set of Seymour Duncan "YJM" pickups made to exact specs of his original Strat's from the early 70's. Fender was not equipped to do this at that time so he turned to Seymour for his expertise.  Yngwie has owned this since new in 1998. Yngwie did his best posing for us as well as personally signing it for our shop.
