Sherwood Guitars were made by Kay for Montgomery Wards during the 1940's and 50s. 17" solid spruce archtop with fresh neck set. This is a postwar Chicago-made large-bodied archtop marketed by Ward's who distributed Sherwood. it has its original Brazilian rosewood bridge, sitting tall. A beautiful arched Adirondack spruce top, Brazilian fretboard, half-bound like Rickenbacker. Cool tortoise plastic headstock overlay, original tuners, pickguard, and tailpiece.
