Up for sale is a Gibson style "A" mandolin (FON 3032, Number 29906), which was inherited from my great grandfather. I believe the FON number corresponds with the year 1915, but I can't guarantee that is the exact year, simply because I'm going by the FON number alone. The mandolin is certainly playable, but as you can see in the pictures it has scratches and wear on the body. Also it looks as though there was a crack on both the left and right sides of the mandolin, which was repaired with glue at some point. Included is the original case, which has wear.
Within the case I found a couple of packs of Black Diamond strings. Great keepsake!
Mandolin will need to be restrung. This mandolin is certainly playable and is as a collectors item.
