WASHBURN Dime 3 Dimeslime USA 1995 First run RARE!
Signature Guitar of Dimebag Darrell from PanteraI do not play guitar much these days and so it is time for me to let one of my Washburn Dime 3's go. It is heart-breaking but that's life and I'm sure that it will find a good home.It is a first run original 1995 Washburn Dime 3 USA made. the serial is D 950388.
I bought this Dime 3 second hand on ebay in 2008 from a guy in the Phillipines.
The Guitar plays very well, I love the shape of the neck and the sound is awesome.The maple top on the body is not a flamed one but as you can see it is a one piece maple top unlike the usual flamed maple top you would see on most of the Dime 3. You can see at different angles the grain in the wood and some birdseye . The headstock has a flamed maple top. The guitar has the varnish which has crackle at the neck / body intersection (usual thing on the dime 3 guitars) the wood underneath is ok, it is only the varnish. The headstock has been well repaired and re-varnished by the previous owner. The razor blade sticker with serial number at the back of the headstock has been removed or partialy removed and put back afterwards, I assume after the headstock broke and subsequently well repaired and then re-varnished. I think with years of use the varnish has almost gone on the neck and I can only assume that the previous owner partially re-varnished it aswell , on the back of the neck the result was not a completley smooth texture so the varnish feels slightly granulated . The varnish on the side of the fretboard is flaky. Or maybe all these attributes are down to the extreme temperature in the Phillippines?The back plate of the floyd rose is missing.
Sold with the original Washburn hard case.Please study the pictures of the guitar and please note any areas of wear. I can send more pictures upon request. Please appreciate that the guitar is 21 years old and well played. It is a fantastic and genuine guitar made in the USA that all Dimebag or Washburn fans should have in their collection.
