Marshall 2210 JCM 800 100w Split Channel Reverb Head in near mint/excellent condition that has been fully serviced by a professional amplifier technician.  This is the late 1980s circuit (amp is 1988 vintage serial number S/A W07706) that corrected many of the earlier circuit problems such as channel bleed and a muddy boost channel that plagues early-mid 1980s versions.  This amp is very clean with no tolex tears and all hardware is intact and in excellent condition (see photos).  The chassis is clean with only minor corrosion as shown in the photos.  Original footswitch and power cord are included.  Footswitch does have some visible scratches as shown in photos. The technician went through the entire amp to ensure it was working exactly as designed per the 1988 (latest edition) schematics.  However, there is one minor modification to the stock circuit that corrects a problem with master volume control that still plagued this circuit design.  With the stock circuit there is minimal control over the volume to adjust for lower settings.  The master volume control from about 0 to 2 takes the amp from no volume to about 70% loudness almost like a reverse logarithmic control.  This makes it almost impossible to play at lower or even moderate volumes. The master volume circuit on this amp is routed so that the player has an even full range of volume adjustment from 0 to 10.  This modification does not affect the tone at all.  The technician also installed 1Ω precision resistors at the cathode of each power tube to enable safe bias measurement and adjustment to ensure each tube is running at the correct bias.  All electrolytic capacitors have been replaced as well.  The tubes, though used were tested on Military model TV-7D/U tube tester for shorts, transconductance and gas/leakage.  All tubes tested strong.  Potentiometers (knobs) were cleaned with Fader Lube to eliminate scratchiness and improve tonal performance. This amp is triple/quadruple wrapped in bubble wrap and double boxed with additional bubble wrap and packing paper to ensure a tight box fit (no internal shaking, which is a bad thing for those truck drivers shipping on bumpy roads).  Unless the shipper throws this thing off a bridge it will not be damaged in shipment.  I know what it’s like to receive items poorly packed and have made every effort to ensure this thing will not be damaged. Please ask questions if you are unsure of anything about this item.  Because it is a tube amplifier and can be seriously damaged by misuse I am not offering returns.  Please, please be sure you: connect a speaker load whenever the amp is energized, ensure you have the correct impedance setting,  are using good speaker (not guitar) cables, and always allow the power tubes to warm up in standby at least 2 minutes before switching the standby switch to on.  If you do all these things you will not have any problems and this amp will last you a long time.
