This Koa Series Acoustic-Electric is performance-ready, with a Venetian cutaway and Taylor's Expression System 2 electronics. This K66ce 12-String features a full-voiced Grand Symphony body crafted from a beautifully figured Hawaiian Koa top, back and sides, which offers a bright, focused shimmering tone that'll age nicely over time to produce a warmer, richer voice with more depth and sweetness. The K66ce also employs Taylor's 12-string bracing featuring their the tone-enhancing relief rout. Generally, 12-string guitars utilize heavier braces than 6-string guitars in order to compensate for the increased tension of having double the strings, and to keep the top from being overdriven. The tops, pin plates and the heavier, non-scalloped bracing are all thicker on the Taylor 12-string models to support the soundboard for adequate resonance.Renowned for superb comfort and playability in comparison to other 12-string necks, the K66ce features a tropical mahogany neck and an ebony fingerboard with a stunning Island Vine inlay.
