Very rare reissue speakers made by Celestion for only a few hundred Marshall amps such as the 40th Anniversary Offset JTM45 and based on the very first Marshall Alnico speakers Clapton et al used (these are THE Bluesbreaker speakers). I've tested them and they are tremendous and unmistakably alnicos as opposed to the much more plentiful ceramic drivers. Built by Celestion to similar specs to the legendary Blue, Marshall maintains these are 25w and 16ohm speakers, though internet conjecture suggests sticking to the Blue's 15w. These are the speakers that Nels Cline raves about and would make an ideal 2x12 Bluesbreaker combo or in a 4x12 cab with a JTM45 (both of those amps are generally 30w and even the Blue is overspec'd - many makers such as Lazy J fit them in 20w amps!!). Any viewings/trials welcome - I also have several other speakers and a workhorse Zilla cab for sale if interested. Would MUCH prefer to avoid postage but have boxes and would insure for price listed within UK. Cheers!!!
