Exceptional condition Buffet Prestige R-13 silver-plated A clarinet. I hand selected this clarinet from approximately 20 other clarinets from Vince Marinelli Woodwinds in 2007 (serial number 556XXX). At the same time I selected the beautiful bell and 65mm barrel (both Festival models) to enhance the resonance and intonation of the already exceptional instrument. No cracks, virtually flawless keywork, there is a little silver tarnish on the rings of the barrel and bell, something that could be cleaned up without much effort if you desired. Silver Plating is 100%. This has been my soloing A clarinet since I purchased it, having performed on three continents and in countless concerts. I have temperature and humidity controlled the clarinet since it's purchase. Additionally, I have had the top repair technicians maintain ideal playing condition (Morrie Backun, Guy Chadash, Vince Marinelli, Dan Sagi). I had a custom thumb rest installed by Morris Backun back in 2008 for comfort. Overall, this is an extremely free blowing A clarinet, one of the finest I have played. I have switched to a full boehm system so this clarinet needs to head out to the next very lucky musician. I purchased it new for $4600, so this is a serious steal, it's becoming harder and harder to find high quality new Buffets as the wood seasoning process is not nearly as rigorous now as it was even five years ago. I am happy to send audio of me playing the clarinet or answer any questions you may have. Bid with confidence, you're getting a monster clarinet.
