Used - Excellent Condition The now discontinued YAS-52 is a renowned legend not only for its immaculate sound, but because Yamaha designed this incredible sax with the player in mind making it one of the most comfortable feeling saxophones ever. The key system was designed with comfort, speed, and overall playability in mind. Some of the other features that make the YAS-52 a stand-out saxophone is its high F#-key for easier playability in the extended range high harmonics and its unique front F mechanism design which allows independent adjustment of the high F tone hole pad opening to ideally match the player's preference and playing style. This Yamaha YAS-52 is the natural progression for any student that is ready to make the move to a more serious performance instrument! Cosmetic and Functionality DescriptionBody, Bell, and Neck: the bell, bow, body, and the neck all show some noticeable scratches and spots of lacquer wear; the bell, bow, and body do not show any dings of dents, but a a couple of tiny dings can be found on the sides of the neck; the low D# keyguard is missing
Keywork: the keys show some light scratches and very minimal lacquer wear; all the key buttons are in placePlayability: the keys all move properly and are not bent--the low D# key moves more than it should due to the keyguard missing
Pads: most of the pads look great and have a lot of life left in them, but a few are a bit dirty and may need to be replaced sooner than someCork and Felts: the neck cork has a medium-sized chunk missing around the bottom which does not affect the mouthpiece's ability to seal tightly; all the key corks and felts appear to be intact
