Imagine singing carols around this beauty!
This pre-civil war piano has been completely restored. The serial # is 1785, built in New York by Steinway and Sons in 1857. Steinway and Sons is the manufacturer of some of the finest in the world. The cabinet is Brazilian Rosewood, which is almost impossible to find. Keys are ebony and ivory.
Its' sound is reminiscent of the early pianoforte of Mozart's era. It is unique in size to fit into those smaller rooms in historic, older homes. It is 72 inches long, 36 inches deep and 36 inches high. It was suggested during restoration that it may be the oldest still in existence. If not THE oldest, certainly ONE of the oldest.
Shipping is not included in the price. Arrangements must be made by buyer. Local pick up is okay but I suggest several strong helpers.
