Model: 60s Stratocaster

1966 Stratocaster. The original colour was candy apple metallic red, you can see remains of this in the neck pocket. It was later sprayed metallic blue, also evident in the neck pocket. In 1994 it was sent for a professional refinish and to get it into professional performing condition. This work was done by the reputable Andy Mcgibbons guitar shop in Johannesburg, South Africa. The refinisher's signature and date is in the neck pocket. Pls see the pics. I can't remember his name, but he was an Eastern European guy doing great work for this shop at the time specialising in Stratocasters. Since then it has been played but almost exclusively in a studio so shows only minor use. The tone and vibrancy of the guitar is excellent, it is basically a vintage strat, but refinished to be a nightly performing work guitar. The setup was modelled on Gilmore's red strats. I will try list all the parts that I know are or aren't original. Any parts that were replaced were done in 1994 with original fender replacements. Body 1966 original unmodified apart from paint job
