For sale is one of the finest sounding tenor guitars I have played, bar none. This guitar (#47062) is in excellent condition and very original as well as a rare survivor of around 70 total of this upper model Martin produced only in 1930 and 1931. A rare Martin Tenor model Guitar with Herringbone trim and forward X bracing. Action is great and plays extremely easy. 14 frets to body. The 4th string has 1/8" clearance between fret and string at 12th fret. Total original finish in very good condition with no touch up. Adirondack Spruce top, beautiful Brazilian Rosewood Back, Sides, Peg head overlay, straight grain Mahogany neck, very rich looking ebony fingerboard and bridge. Slotted diamond fingerboard markers. Original bar frets. Original Grover Pat banjo tuners (work great). Original Pick Guard, Bone nut, Bridge plate, and Bridge appears to be original or excellent reproduction. Only thing that appears non original is strings and Bone bridge saddle. Beautiful patina with no evidence of abuse. Only 2 well repaired cracks, one about 6 1/2 " on treble side of top coming off the bottom (does not go to bridge), the other about 3 1/2" approximately 1 " off to the side of the zipper center strip on back. Both very well repaired and should never be a problem. 1 1/4" neck width at nut. Very clean inside. Very little buckle rash on the back and some play wear around pick guard. As I said earlier, this is the best sounding tenor guitar I believe I have ever played. It comes with it's original Martin Hard case and is absolutely ready to be played and loved  in need of nothing. I have described it as completely and openly as I can think of at the time.
