Up for sale, a 1967 Fender Twin Reverb in excellent condition and in good working order. Very clean and well maintained, this Twin delivers warm, articulate cleans with ample bass response, smooth EQ and present, sparkly Fender top end. When it comes to the quintessential Blackface Fender amp for clarity, headroom, and the balanced, authoritative response of a four 6L6 driven tube amp, it's hard to beat the Twin Reverb. The top end chimes and twangs without being brittle, and the low end has fullness without being too overbearing; it's as classic and pure a design as Leo Fender ever created!The circuit is has been thoroughly serviced and features many of the original blue molded Ajax capacitors in the preamp, along with some Nichicon caps to keep everything operating within original factory spec. The stock filter caps are intact and still work as they should, with no signs of leakage, still going strong after nearly 50 years. Freshly retubed with a matched quad of Tung Sol 6L6 power tubes, this amp is ready for years of trouble-free use. The Schumacher reverb transformer and choke are stock, along with the original output transformer, manufactured by Better Coil & Transformer. The power transformer is a genuine vintage Twin transformer, and while it is a replacement that dates to 1971, it is otherwise identical to the original.The speakers are a pair of era-correct Oxford ceramic 12s, with clean black frames and a pair of modern blue foil replacement Fender labels. These speakers easily handle the power of the Twin, and the wiring harness is partially original, with new cloth covered leads going to each speaker. The tube chart is intact, with a "QF" date code which translates to June of 1967.The original black tolex is quite clean, with only a few very small scuffs and light marks of wear. The grillcloth has been professionally replaced and lightly aged to have a genuine vintage loo. The stock baffle is intact, as well as all of the original hardware including the chrome tilt back legs, nickel corners, sphinx glides and handle. The faceplate is in great shape as well, retaining all of the original black witch hat knobs.
