This is the Fender Jimi Hendrix Stratocaster solid body electric guitar in Black. One of the most iconic guitarist of all time has been honoured with this clever Artist model. It has a few curious features that make it really stand out. A reverse headstock and alternative bridge pickup placement deliver visual as well as tonal variations. The Black Fender Jimi Hendrix Stratocaster features a Reverse Headstock. There is a very good reason why this electric guitar looks the way it does. Jimi played a right handed guitar upside down. At the time there very little left handed guitars available. Due to his Strat being strung the other way round it slightly altered the tone of the instrument. The Fender Jimi Hendrix Stratocaster in Black offers right handed players a similar tone and feel. Essentially the neck has been flipped but the body stays the same. This way you can access the upper frets with ease. The neck itself has been crafted from maple and comes with a more modern 9.5 inch radius. Medium Jumbo frets are a nod to its vintage origins. The Fender Jimi Hendrix Stratocaster also features a 70s style larger headstock. It has been bolted onto an alder body with a specially engraved back plate. American Vintage 65 Pickups with a different configuration. The Fender Jimi Hendrix Stratocaster has a pretty strong hardware specification. It includes a set of some of the best sounding pickups Fender make. The American Vintage 65 pickups feature in the bridge, middle and neck positions.
