Hiawatha Guitars are made in Milwaukee, this Telecaster style guitar is a prototype for our new line that will be launching in October. This model is called the "Tomahawk".
This guitar has been demoed by several artists and now it's time to find it a home. It is new and has some earned light wear in Exc+. I have made changes throughout the demo process to fine tune my T-style guitars and this final version really delivers.Built from Solid Cherry with a Walnut Top that was cut on our own CNC machine and finished with cherry nitro cellulose lacquer with some targeted cherry burst stain on the neck. Weight is 8lb 4oz. Custom gold and silver Hipshot bridge, Standard tele controls with Black Candy capacitor and Series 295 POTs under the hand-cut Ebony and maple control cover. I have also installed brass insets(pictured above) in the bridge pickup cavity for a smoother direct mounting system that allows for finer adjustments and more solid connection between the pickup and body.
The neck is a solid one-piece slightly flamed maple neck from Allparts(We are cutting our own necks now) with our own custom lacquer finish, medium jumbo frets, and custom gold and silver Gotoh vintage style split tuners. The logo is a mock-up and can be easily removed or I can seal it so it won't be damaged. Low action, setup with 9's the guitar plays and sounds killer. The pickups are a set of prototype Hiawatha Tomahawk Stacked Halfbuckers which utilize a bottom coil to significantly reduce 60 cycle hum while still retaining the clarity, attack, volume and note bloom of our single coil pickups. Everyone has been blown away with these pickups, they are very clean and quiet with a strong Telecaster tone and twang along with a touch of '59 PAF creaminess. The first words of all players has been been that they are very Jazzy clean and then they find the attack and twang. Pickups:Neck~Hiawatha Halbucker Stack Humbucker
