Description

Rare Binson Echorec T5E serial number 954.  This rare and early Echorec is from the late 50's and it kind of shows! It is yet another restoration project that i need to let go since i am not playing much guitar anymore and closed down my recording studio.  See my other auctions for a Roland SRE-555 tape echo as well.  The Echorec have quite some wear to the paintwork but is otherwise in overall ok condition.  It is a restoration project though or you could use it as a parts machine.  I have tested all the major parts like the transformer, motor and heads and save for one head everything works.  This is a rundown of the pros and cons: -Motor runs without any noise when hooked up to 220v supply.  I have pictures and video of this if needed.  -Power transformer leaves the correct 250v and 6.3v when hooked up to 220v.  I also checked the 120v tap and it works as well. Again i have pictures of all this testing.  -Powersupply section needs rewiring since some cabling was cut.  I suspext that the rectifier have gone bad and someone tried to repair this.  -All heads reads ca 590ohms except for one that i dont get any reading from.  Pictures available of this as well.  -Drum looks good without any major wear. -Rubber wheel lloks good and fresh withoit any damage.  -I will include two Miniwatt ECC83 and two ECC82 but their condition is unknown (one ECC82 looks bad) -Comes with the original legs and three of the bolts. I have the fourth bolt somewhere and it will be included if i find it.  -Lid is missing.  -1 knob is missing  The echo is sold as-is so please ask any questions before you go ahead and buy it.  The Echo is very heavy so i will pack it well, but this means Worldwide shipping is set at $99.
