£719.00 JAPAN IMPORT Double bound Alder body & Texas Special pickups make this a popular & sought after model. Here at Whitstable Guitars, I have an arrangement with a major Japanese supplier & I regularly import batches of used but excellent condition guitars from Japan. I do this because the quality of the guitars is excellent & the guitars supplied for their domestic market are often in different finishes & specifications than are available in Europe. I was really pleased to find this guitar in Japan. It's a 2006/8 guitar but has been very lightly used with just a couple of minor marks. For me, the factory fitted Texas Specials make it a really good buy. Together with the double bound body in OLB (Old Lake Placid Blue) and aged neck, it's a stunner! As stated many times, due to courier damage, all my guitars are shipped in hard cases (usually new) this one being a plain black one. I do have a tweed option but these are a little dearer. It's well balanced and weighted at just under 3.6kg Aged neck from Fender looks good & script etc is good for a 62 reissue. Back is good too with no issues. Strings are thru body which I prefer No bucklerash or dents or heavy scratches. All in all in really good condition Here's the serial number confirming manufacture in 2006/8 & MIJ transfer Here's a quick look at the electrics. All pots and switch are Japanese. Pickups are USA made with familiar yellow cloth covered wiring. The guitar sounds fab Here's one of the very few tiny blemishes which is near the input socket The tuners have "dulled" a bit over the years. I like the aged look rather than sparkly chromed ones So, to sum up, an excellent example of a Fender Japan 62 Custom reissue with factory fitted USA Texas Specials.
