Listing is for this newly completed custom Telecaster from Virgil's Vintage Guitars Here are the specs: Body ~One piece 3lb. 8oz. African Obeche, from the good folks at Clearfork Designs. Obeche has grain that is similar to Mahogany, but is as light as white pine, only denser. A real cutting edge tone wood. ~Cut to Blackguard specs, including cutaway router hump, and flattened jack contour. ~Finished in hand mixed, aged TV Yellow Nitrocellulose Lacquer, with lacquer checking and realistic color fade. Polished and buffed to semi-gloss. Neck ~Stunning AAA flamed maple finished in hand mixed, tinted Nitrocellulose Lacquer. Lightly aged with top to bottom hairline lacquer checking. ~Baseball Bat BIG "C" profile. ~.9" deep at 1st fret, 1.01" deep at 12th fret. ~1.675" width at nut. ~Vintage 7.25" radius. ~Vintage size frets. ~Custom headstock shape ~Stepped tuner bore holes. ~Single acting truss rod adjust at heel. Electronics ~Bridge pickup: Hand wound Alnico 3, staggered pole pieces, 42g plain enamel wire, 6.8K ohms ~Neck pickup: Hand wound Alnico 3, Nickel Silver cover, 42g plain enamel wire, 5.9K ohms ~CTS 250K pots, Oak Grigsby 3 way switch, vintage Sprague bumblebee tone cap ~Custom wired so that volume acts as a blender pot in the middle position. Volume on ten is bridge pickup only, blending in the neck pickup as you turn down, with volume on one, being neck pickup only. Hardware ~Titanium 5/8" barrel saddles ~Aged Callaham dome knobs ~Aged steel bridge plate, control plate and Kluson style tuners ~Hand aged and lacquer tinted pickguard Guitar is set up to play like an old friend right out of the box The neck has been adjusted to have the least relief possible, while playing true from top to bottom. This way, the action can be set to the new owners preference.
