Up for sale is a beautiful Epiphone premium ES-175. It has had the Gibson headstock modification done to it along with some other nice touches like a period correct pickguard and hardware, raw nickel pickup covers and a bone nut. The pickups have also been modded for that out of phase sound in the middle position (think T-Bone Walker). It has that vintage look that includes some wear and light dings here and there. I love this guitar. It plays and sounds outstanding! I am only selling to reduce my collection. Hard decision to let it go. One thing you won't get with this instrument is the jitters associated with taking a $3000 Gibson ES-175 on the road. This guitar looks and plays just like a real Gibson ES-175. Generic hardshell case included.
When first introduced, the original ES-175 was a truly modern guitar that anticipated a new era of jazz and pop music that was hotter, louder and constantly pushing musical boundaries. The ES-175 quickly became the preferred model for both jazz players and rock and rollers with a background in jazz, especially for guitarists looking for the “Wes Montgomery” L-5 sound at a lower price. This Epiphone ES-175 Premium is a wonderful tribute to the original - a beautifuly made hollow jazz box that’s easy to hold, easy to play and affordable. Just like the original it features a Florentine (sharp) cutaway and Gibson humbucking pickups. The Gibson ’57 Classic humbucking pickups simply add to the versatility of the Epiphone ES-175 Premium making it perfect for any genre with cool crisp archtop tone from its all-maple construction and genuine Gibson pickups.
