You are looking at a black 1984 Gibson Explorer known as the '84 Model' and the same used early in the career of James Hetfield. This particular beast is fitted with EMGs and a rare U.S.A Kahler trem unit (arm included safe in case) It has its orginal blue lined fitted Gibson hard case included which is as used as the guitar! This is not a reliced reissue - this is 100% the real deal!Rare as a hens dentist! It is a huge ball-breaking 32 year old monster from the real 'All Men Play On Ten' golden days of Metal! Amazing gigged condition with heat/age crazing to body and headstock lacquer - which almost feels like the grain of the woodSlinky mega-low action and a dead straight fast neckLow fast frets – a super high speed playerNo break or repairs - everFitted Strap Locks included in the case tooUtterly amazing low action with a very fast neck (I can’t say this enough – it’s mental fast!)I’d say the best playing Explorer I’ve ever come across. PeriodFabulous weight and balanceLoads of wear/dings/donks/buckle rash wear marks all you see is genuine usage/played wearThis guitar is like a washed in second hand pair of soft Levi jeans – lived in already…. Some my work but most from the previous guy who bought it direct from Frank Hutchins Music on Barking Road London in 1985 (their old sticker is still in place on the back of the headstock)It has the fastest and lowest action EVER (did I say that yet?)I’ll try and answer any questions, but I think I’ve covered allI have a fair few Gibson and this stands proud against feel and playability of them all. Why Sell? I’m gutted to sell but I have a new vintage find coming so I need to ‘cash in some chips’ to help ease that financial pain….In the true spirit of eBay I’m sending this off as a 99p no reserve auction (I have a gut feeling on what it’ll reach but we’ll see to fairest way – a fight to the death!)Collection welcome from my home in Bedford if you can’t waitPlease bid to buyPostage to Mainland UK is just £18.00 Please Read:Overseas bidders welcome via additional fee via eBay Postal Hub – see their costs for details as I will expect fast payment within 24 hours I am a 1900 plus 100% positive private collector/player so bid with confidence of quality and true description – I’m one of the good guys…. Gentlemen start your engines See you back here next Sunday Remember – snooze and you lose, these don’t pop up every day – DON’T MISS OUT!
