NOTE, i am also selling this locally cheaper on Los Angeles C L, if it does sell therei will take down this ad. I have an outstanding 2007 Gibson custom shop Es-339 here. I believe
the color is antique red. It comes with it's Gibson hardcase and the
original  signed checklist from Gibson as well. The tone is phenomenal. I am primarily a solid body player. So my time
with this guitar gave me a favorable impression of what a truly good
hollow body sounds like and how it differs. It has very good clarity
and distinction. The neck pickup is much more usable on this than on a
Gibson LP. You can still get some snap out of it. This guitar has
truly dynamic cleans that i formerly only thought i could get out of
single coil S style guitars. The humbuckers truly sing on this guitar.
Now the bass and low end is not the same as in a heavy solid body.
However the tone to me does not sound like it has something "missing".
I have not been a fan of chambered guitars because to me they sound
like they do have something missing in their tonal spectrum. With the
ES i find i can turn the bass up higher on the amp because it does not
muddy the tone because the clarity is so pronounced.

Another thing that will bring a smile to your face is if you crank the
gain with this guitar. You do not think of a Gibson Es- as a metal or
high gain instrument. But it's clean tone strengths carry over to high
gain as well. What you get is gain that has more detail and
complexity. That translates to "bite" or "cut" when you play with
gain. So it is for all purposes a versatile guitar. Not just a Jazz or
Blues instrument.See the pics for overall condition. I consider it in good used
condition. It is a used but not abused guitar. It has a nitrocellulose
finish and that develops certain characteristics with age. The parts
where your hands and forearm rest, those have a little bit of thinning
to the gloss and have a slight satiny look. You will see that on the
lower part of the back of the neck and where your hand rests on the
palm mute position. Very fine finish cracks ( not wood body cracks)
can also be seen if you look close. again this is in the nitro finish.
The pickups and electronics sound great, no issues. The setup is comfy
and slinky. A small amount of pick strumming pattern wear will be present. The
neck volume knob is a little loose which can easily be fixed, it
functions fine. And  there are minor dings around the headstock. Also
importantly the previous owner had what we call a soft touch to his
fretting so the frets do not have deep pits and valley and groves in
them. See the picture of the fretboard. They are very healthy frets.
It's overall luster and appearance is gorgeous. There are some closet
queens out there that are near mint, however i see most retailers
wanting 2500$ and up for them. This is probably the best value for an
ES-339 around that i have seen. It was made right before the changes
to the brand in 2008, and many feel it was an end of an era as the
ensuing economy decline forced guitar companies to lower production
costs.Anyhow that's the story on this one. Thank you for reading. And i hope
whoever get's this enjoys this fine instrument.I ship fedex, fully insured, guitar in case, case in box, and box
loaded with some padding for shock absorption.
