Here we have a really sweet example of a classic from the Teisco hay day of production. This guitar a Kingston brand (which was made by Teisco) and we believe is a Del Ray model. The pickups sound terrific and generate a real nice tone. The volume and tone knobs work great and smoothly. The two pickup selectors function as on/off for each pickup respectively. You can use one or the other pickup or both simultaneously . In our opinion the action is a little high around the 5th fret and upwards. The neck is straight but the bridge is high and what it would need is a new metal plate under the bridge, to allow the bridge to sit a little lower (our suggestion). We could even do this - if this is your dream guitar and you'd want the action to be the best it can be, send us a message and we could work something out.This guitar includes the original case and to our delight it still has the original plastic covering on it! Meaning, since it is an original vintage case it has the expected wear from over the years but very much of it will be gone (a lot of it) the moment you remove the original factory plastic!! (or leave it on.. your call)The blue is a somewhat earthy sparkle blue, tortoise pick guard, chrome hardware just stunning. Pearl / abalone inlay. Visually awesome and sounds sweet too!
