Up for auction is a Vintage 1965 OAHU 6422TR "Tremo-Verb" Guitar Amplifier made by Valco and almost identical to the Tremo-Verb amplifiers put out under other brand names like Supro. I could bore you with comments about Jimmy Page, blah, blah, blah, but if you are looking at this, you probably already know more about it than I do. I tested this amp and everything appears to work as it should. The only thing I did not test was the foot switch inputs. The amp sounds great as it should, no problems at full volume, and no scratchy pots or inputs or anything. You even get a complete undamaged Oahu logo which is rare. The only problem I can see is that the handle is broken off the metal piece on one side, but it is mostly intact. Appears to be mostly original except for the addition of a three prong plug, but please view the pictures and use the zoom feature, as I am far from an expert regarding these amps. The Jensen speaker code is 220508. There is a sticker on the inside of the wood cabinet that says 1-22034. The 5Y3G7 tube is an RCA, the 6V6G7 tube is a Sylvania, and the four 12AX7 tubes say USA, but I can not see a brand name. Please feel free to ask questions or request more photos and I will do my best. You know how rare this amp is, so bid strong and good luck! |
