Vintage 1982 G&L F-100 Series II Electric Guitar.A great playing and sounding example in super rare original transparent swamp ash.  100% original down to the switch tips (often missing).  Has a medium size neck with a comfortable round profile.  It is comfortable to hold and easy to get around on.  Plays great all the way up and down. Original pickups sound fantastic.  They are warm, full bodied and present.  Has a tight, defined low end and a clear, glassy treble.  Original coil tap and phase reverse switches offer up some extra tonal variety making this one a great choice if you are looking for a "workhorse" guitar that can handle lots of different situations.  Excellent condition with few signs of cosmetic wear.  Overall a very clean example.  RARE - ALL ORIGINAL - SET UP PERFECTLY - Plays just the way Leo intended.  If you want a Vintage Fender guitar for little money this is it. It was designed by Leo and George. Launched in 1980 the F100 instruments were the first G&L designs to be produced by the new company.  Pot codes verify and there is a hard to read body date that looks like it may be 1982 and that tallies with the serial number G006240 that  G&L dates to 1982. This is the Series II giving a 7.5" radius fretboard so it plays like a 50's / 60's Fender.  Few dings and marks to the body and a very little nice checking to the nitrocellulose lacquer - no poly here. Original frets have been dressed but still plenty of life left in them. The pickups are the then new Magnetic Field Design humbucking pickups with two rows of pole pieces and ceramic magnets. It has the standard three-way selector plus a phase switch that threw the pickups into a combination out-of-phase middle position. Please Click on pix to see a larger view!We are a small family business, if for any reason you do not see this as a quality purchase, please contact me.I am just downsizing the last dozen or so guitars from my personal collection as we prepare to close my shop.
