This is a 2008 Gibson Signature Slash VOS Les Paul Custom Shop with serial number one. This brand new and un played Gibson is in the original box with the bill of sale receipt where I purchased it in 2008 from the most respectable guitar store in the USA. I called Gibson in 2008 about this guitar that I had bought and they told me that this Slash Signature was not to be sold to the public and was promised to Slash. Gibson said all Custom Shop Signature guitars with serial number 001 are given to the artist it was designed for. Gibson also told me that this Slash Signature Custom Shop is the only 001 that has ever gone public. It is defiantly a one of a kind and a huge collectable Slash Signature series Gibson Les Paul. This Gibson comes with all the original packing in the original factory box from all the case candy, Slash signature hard case, black certificate of authenticity in leather pocket. NOTES: This is an authentic Gibson Custom Shop replica of one of the two Les Paul Standards that Gibson custom shop sent Slash in 1988. It featured a hand carved 3 piece maple top and a one piece mahogany back and a rosewood finger board and Slashes famous Seymour Duncan Alnico 2 pro pickups all built on a Gibson Les Paul with Heritage Cherry Sunburst finish faded just like Slashes original guitar. This Slash Custom became the most famous Slash guitar through out his career with Gun and Roses. Only 400 of these replicas were made and sold out world wide in less than a few days on April 1st 2008. This Slash Signature guitar is mesmerizing to say the least. It still has that brand new Custom Shop smell that it did 8 years ago. I grew up seeing this guitar in all the Guns and Roses concerts and pictures and the 001 serial number is a one of a kind in any Gibson Slash Signature Les Paul Custom Shop that was ever released to the public says Gibson. Make no mistake, this is not a Gibson USA factory stamped production Slash guitar you see for $3000 or $4000 on eBay. This is a Gibson Signature, serial number one, 1 of 400 Slash VOS Les Paul Standard Custom Shop guitar that is all hand built one at a time in the Gibson custom shop in the USA.
