API 525 in perfect aesthetic and functional condition - pro studio only, gently used. This is a very cool compressor that a lot of people sleep on. It's a 70s feedback design with a fixed, very fast attack time and a program-dependent release. Most of the tweaking on this box is done by setting the threshold just right. This can be done with either the In and Out controls, or the Ceiling control which adjusts both simultaneously. Even though it only has two ratios (2:1 and 20:1), it can get great results on a wide variety of sources. Both ratio buttons can be pushed in simultaneously for a bonkers "nuke" ratio, or they can both be deactivated to use the 525 as a line amp.
