This is a very fun to play, pre-owned Taylor 12-Fret Grand Concert.What's unique about this GC is that it has a Sinker Redwood top that looks and sounds phenomenal. Sinker Redwood is a special wood, sliced from huge old-growth redwood logs reclaimed from the depths of Northern California rivers, where they’ve lain in many cases for more than a century. The age of this wood translates into a very tight grain structure that produces a bold, yet warm response. In fact, the folks at Taylor refer to it as "cedar on steroids."The back and sides are made from Cocobolo with vibrant figuring, with a mahogany neck, and ebony fretboard and bridge. Unique appointments include a short scale 24 7/8” neck, with a Standard Carve profile, Adirondack 12-Fret bracing, an ebony single-ring rosette, a tusq nut and saddle, ebony binding, and a slotted headstock with a Paua Taylor logo.
