Bach Stradivarius LT50B3LO Bb/F/Gb Bass trombone (lacquer)Product DescriptionManufactured in 1989 (serial number: 90492) with one previous owner, a Salvation Army Band. Refurbished and serviced to a high standard by our own off-site technician. It plays very well and has been tested by two experienced players on site. The refurbishment included; realignment of the bell flair rim and removal of dents/creases, removal of stem dents and realignment of slide receiver, lapin & clean rotors and casings and realignment of inner and outer slide legs. The LT50B3LO is a large bore (0.562") model with a double in-line independent rotor system. This trombone is available for sale via our showroom at £1,850; the Ebay price is higher, as we need to cover the transaction fees; for reference, the brand new price in our showroom for this equivalent model is £4,300.   OVERALL Very good condition for its age. There is visible wear and tear throughout the instrument but is reasonable cosmetic condition. There are small patches where the plating has worn away on the hand slide.   BELL SECTION The lacquer remains good; we have removed some small dents around the bell flare; these are hard to feel, but you can see where some were in the right light. The triggers and rotors have been lapped and fully cleaned. The mechanisms are smooth and assured. The tuning slides have been cleaned and serviced and are dent free. HAND SLIDE Our technician performed a full service and the action is perfectly smooth and lovely to play. The main brace assembly and outer tube cross brace area all show some wear from hand holding.   The inner legs are excellent, with little resistance from wear.   The outer tubes have a fair amount of scratching on them, especially towards to top.   CASE The original Bach hard case is in working order. It shows signs of regular use, but is in good working order. The outside shows only modest wear; handle is intact and the three clasps fully work. The internal fluffy material is in good order, is not worn and does not smell; the instrument came from an environment that was smoke free.     NOTE

It was founded by Trevor Austin (father of Paul) who was previously a euphonium player in the Horse Guards (and played on horseback at Queen Elizabeth II’s coronation in 1953). Following long service in the Salvation Army as a player and conductor, his reputation led to requests to supply instruments around the UK and overseas. Rosehill is now led by Trevor’s son Paul. The company was awarded a UK government contract in 1999, and since then has been an approved supplier of musical instruments to Her Majesty’s military bands. We also repair, refurbish and service all brass band and military band instruments at our workshops in Beaconsfield. As well as drawing customers from all over the UK, we also supply many instruments to bands and players overseas.
