Don´t miss this chance!.crafted in Japan 1997-98
.s/n A006750The Squier Super-Sonic was a guitar manufactured and sold by Fender for two years in the 1990s as part of Fender’s 1997 Vista series.  The guitar was designed by Joe Carducci, Fender’s electric guitar product manager at the time, and who is said to have been inspired by an image of Jimi Hendrix playing a Fender Jaguar ‘upside-down’, or left-handed.
The Super-Sonic came in 4 colors: Olympic White, Black, Sparkle Silver and Sparkle Blue. All Squier Super-Sonics came with a white/black/white sandwich The guitar also came with an incredible 24-inch scale, 22-fret Like the and Jaguar, the body was crafted from in Japan. The guitar came with a reversed headstock and a -style bridge with hardened steel-pressed saddles and a screwed-in . The Super-Sonic had two Korean made The guitar had no tone controls, but instead had two volume controls with pickup switching controlled by a 3-way toggle switch. The interesting thing about the volume controls is that they were wired in reverse. The volume control closest to the bridge controlled the bridge pickup, while the volume knob closest to the input jack controlled the rhythm pickup. Kluson-style tuners similar to those found on many Stratocasters were used on the headstock.Back around 1998, the Fender factory in Japan was making Squier-labeled guitars from the Vista series that were better, apparently, than Fender HQ was comfortable with. Sold as lower-priced instruments, the workmanship on these instruments rivaled the Fender USA instruments and certainly beat their other overseas-built guitars, although some of the parts, particularly the electronics, are somewhat sub-standard. The Squier Super-Sonic is one of the best of this series.

The Super-Sonic is a short-scale instrument, with a 24" scale.
The body is basswood and the neck is maple, with a "skunk stripe." The truss rod is the bullet style, which adjusts at the headstock.
