I'm sadly selling this one off boutique guitar due to financial reasons - the guitar is located in John Ambler's workshops and has never been played except for a few times.Here is the original description and if you have any questions I can direct them towards John Ambler.If you 'd like to try the guitar yourself, just let me know and I will connect you with John.Here is the original spec:The coat is real Iron over a genuine Honduran Mahogany body. The Iron has been corroded using acids and saltwater, then, once I was happy with the level of corrosion, given a clear coat of lacquer to halt any further effects. The guitar is beautifully balanced, completely handmade by myself, and a very special sounding instrument. The Pickups are by Tim McNelly in Canada, and the voicing was custom ordered by myself. Tim then carefully aged both pickups to match the effect of the guitars finish.
The Bigsby Trem has been lightly aged again to match. Relic style Les Paul tuners, Ebony fingerboard and Honduran Mahogany neck. The guitar is an excellent Blues machine. Charley Hicks recently played the guitar and loved it so much so that he is thinking of ordering one for himself. The 'Stagger Swagger' neck pickup is beautifully warm and rich, perfect for melodic chord progressions or bluesy lead, whilst the bridge pickup can be engaged to deliver some real bite. Turn up the volume and this guitar becomes a fantastic classic rock and even heavy rock power house. The guitar comes with a certificate of authenticity and a free Hiscox flight case. There is no other guitar in the world remotely like this.I'm partial to cheaper strats and teles so contact me if interested
