Stunning 1992 USA Musicman StingRay Bass - Transparent White AshOiled Birdseye Maple Neck with rosewood board, Mint Condition(No dings, damage, mods, other than the Zero Mod removable thumb rest.)This 1992 Musicman Stingray bass is in remarkable condition for being 24 years old. I don't think I have ever had a well played guitar or bass of this age that was in quite this nice a condition. It is truly mint, and I have sold more than a thousand guitars and basses, so I don't say that lightly.It is one of the coveted 90's basses with the beautiful oiled Birdseye maple necks. It is registered in the Musicman registry, and verified to be original, unmodified, except for one factory service at EBMM. Serial #35716 - made 22 Oct 1992 - Trans White, neck pocket marked "Special." The lacquer has aged to a nice vintage white as shown in the last picture with the pick guard removed. You can also see the aging of the lacquer on the back of the bass, around the cutaway and by the rear strap lock. Very nice vintage look. The factory service was at Ernie Ball to have the pickup and preamp replaced, so it has been checked through at the plant and performs 100%.The Bass is wearing Ernie Ball Group IV flat wound bass strings, and therefore the frets are in great shape because it has worn flat wounds all its life. Bass weighs 9.6 pounds and ships in a original Ernie Ball bass case. All the pots working great - fresh 9v battery - all in excellent order! Frets have virtually no wear. Current set-up is really low action.
