Up for auction is a Masterworks 16/15c chromatic hammered dulcimer. It’s a great sounding instrument, very popular with hammered dulcimer players. It has a mahogany top, all solid woods. Not sure what the back is made of, but it is not a laminate. Original strings, which are slightly tarnished. Included is a Jean Cavallaro case, which is a little dusty. The dulcimer is in pretty decent condition except for a 3 inch crack in the top at the bottom right of the instrument. See picture #3. I took the dulcimer to Michael Allen of Cloud Nine Musical Instruments in Ostrander, Ohio, to get it repaired. He said it wasn’t worth the expense to fix it unless taken apart. The crack is very stable, and hasn’t moved in years. Mchael recommended leaving it as is. Thus the lower price. $35.00 shipping charge. Continental USA shipments only.
