Vintage Hofner 175 (Galaxie) guitar. Great condition, Extra Neck

I own several Hofners and near as I can tell from research, this is a '65. When I purchased this instrument, it came with a neck from a Hofner 163 (looks like it's from 1961). I could not get that neck to feel right while restoring, so I had new neck installed and professionally set up. The all-original body is in excellent original condition, with a couple of chips, as shown in the photos. The original floating trem, still one of the best ever made, works flawlessly. If you’re familiar with these Hofners, you know the three "staple" humbuckers have a variety of tones and can often sound like single coils. As is customary with these 50-year old rockers, the pickups lose their mojo with time, so they have been expertly rewound and reconditioned by pickup guru Tom Brantley. I’m including the Hofner neck, which is straight and has an intact truss rod. The frets are pretty worn and you can probably get one more recrown out of them before replacement. However, the neck has a slightly sticky “nitro” feel that I just didn’t like. This is a great playing and sounding instrument. Happy bidding to all with positive feedback.
