The Southern Rock Tribute Les Paul also has the "Southern Rock Tribute" seal covering the access cavity to the guitar's rhythm/treble toggle switch. Capturing all the essentials of the legendary burst, and crafted with the utmost skill by Gibson Custom to a feature set derived through vintage experts and members of the Southern Rock community, the Southern Rock Tribute 1959 Les Paul stands out with its unique “Reverseburst” finish over a beautifully figured maple top, which results in a subtle heart-like pattern toward the center of the guitar, with commemorative “Southern Rock Tribute” switch cover on the back. The first 50 guitars in this Limited 2014 Run will be hand-aged by Gibson Custom and signed by Dicky Betts, Charlie Daniels, Gary Rossington, Jimmy Hall, and vintage guitar expert Ronny Proler, while the remainder will be non-aged and unsigned. Proceeds from the sale of these guitars will go to benefit the Music Health Alliance through The Gibson Foundation. Hardware An original-spec ABR-1 Tune-o-matic bridge is paired with a lightweight aluminum stopbar tailpiece and Kluson Deluxe “green key” tuners, all plated in nickel and aged to represent the wear shown by the original guitar.
